After the huge success of ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’, the makers have decided to go ahead and make a sequel for the movie. The sequel will retain the same male cast of Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Dharmendra as the original but female cast is still to be decided.

Previously there were rumors that actress Preity Zinta has been approached to play the female lead. But of late there have been rumors that Katrina Kaif has been approached to play the female lead opposite Bobby Deol.

But source close to the movie denied the rumors and said that neither Preity nor Katrina have been approached as both the actresses are very busy. Preity Zinta is busy with her maiden production venture ‘Ishkq in Paris’, while Katrina Kaif’s dates are booked till next year.

“Neither Preity nor Katrina has been approached for the film. The role of the female actors in the film is not much, so it doesn’t require big names. We are clueless about who is spreading these rumors,” the source said.

The source said that as the both the actresses are close to the Deol’s its understandable why they are being rumored to be part of the movie. But they said that due to these rumors things might get awkward.

The source said that the makers were keen on casting a new face for the movie.

“YPD is a viable franchise for the family, so speculation is inevitable. Currently, the makers are out of the country and they will only finalize the female lead once they are back. But no A-lister actress is being considered for the role,” source concluded.
