Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh is turning out of to be King of Sequels of sorts, as two of his movies ‘Dhamaal’ and ‘Housefull’ have already had successful sequels ‘Double Dhamaal’ and ‘Housefull 2’. His next release ‘Kya Super Kool Hai Hum’ too is a sequel to his hit comedy ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’.

The actor is also currently working on the sequel of his hit 2004 movie ‘Masti’ ‘Grand Masti’.

“I need some originals now!” said Riteish Deshmukh in an interview with a tabloid.

“Even I didn’t realize that I was on my fourth sequel in two years. I’m not upset that I have four sequels on my CV; that just proves that the first movie had worked well with the audience,” he added.

The actor said that he plans on doing originals hence forth and will make it a point to do so.

“I plan to work with a few fresh scripts now. While it’s great for an actor to do sequels, it’s also important to work in good originals,” said the actor.

While in ‘Masti’ Riteish Deshmukh was paired opposite his new bride Genelia, in ‘Grand Masti’ the actress will be missing from action. Does it irk him that he isn’t paired opposite his wife this time around too?

“No. It’s fine with us because the script of ‘Grand Masti’ is such that there is no room for the original leading ladies. She’s looking forward to my shoot,” he said.

While the actor has taken a vow of sorts to stay away from sequels from now on, the makers of Housefull franchise are very keen on starting ‘Housefull 3’ soon.

“I’d love to be part of it because I’ve enjoyed being part of the earlier movies. As of now, there is no script or idea that has been locked for it,” he said.

“Once the ground work is done, I’m sure we’ll get talking,” he concluded.

‘Kya Super Kool Hai Hum’ also staring Tusshar Kapoor is all set to release on August 2.
