Shah Rukh Khan denies delay in 'Chennai Express' shooting

Previously it was reported that Shah Rukh Khan had postponed the shooting of his movie ‘Chennai Express’ as he wants to accompany his Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders to Champions Trophy.

But in a recent interview with IANS Shah Rukh Khan revealed that the shooting of ‘Chennai Express’ would carry on as previously scheduled.

“No, please don’t believe what you guys read, write and show. I’ll tell you if you start believing the lies you only say, it’s going to be really bad for you. You at least should know,” he said.

“It’s normal shooting, whenever we start shooting... Inshaallah, in September. We were always starting in September,” he added.

The movie 'Chennai Express' is directed by Rohit Shetty and stars Deepika Padukone as female lead.

India is gearing up to celebrate its Independence Day on August 15th and Shah Rukh Khan is no different. In fact the actor said that this day is more special to him as his father was a freedom fighter.

“It’s a very proud moment for the country. My father fought for the freedom of this country so I take it even more personally. We should be very, very proud that we have had this opportunity and did it on our own,” he said.

When asked what does freedom mean to him he said, “I think freedom to think, freedom to live, freedom to believe, to dream, I think these are the freedoms the youth will want.”

The actor is currently shooting for Yash Chopra’s untitled project.The movie's shooting will be wrapped up in 10 days.

The movie is directed by Yash Chopra himself and stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma as female leads. The movie is all set to release this Diwali.
