Actor Boman Irani is currently busy promoting his movie ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’, which is a love story between two 40 year olds played by Boman Irani and Farah Khan.

The actor who is working alongside Farah Khan for the first time in the movie said that he has found a good girlfriend in Farah.

“I got a good girlfriend in Farah Khan....Mane aa chhokari bahuj game chhe... (I like this girl very much),” said Boman Irani while promoting the movie in Vadodara.

“I enjoy playing the role of a hero...You see I have become an actor after working as a salesman selling underwear!” he added.

Boman Irani plays a character named Farhad, a 45 year old Parsi bachelor, who earns his living by selling bra and panties. He falls for Shirin, played by Farah Khan, a 40 year old bubbly and straight forward Parsi.

This is the first time that Boman Irani will be playing a star struck lover.

“Until now, I have played roles like father of leading actresses including Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone among others. Now for the first time, I am playing a lead against a heroine, which gives me a special joy,” he said.

Farah Khan is happy that the movie gave her the push to lose her weight.

“Destiny played a major role in turning me into a heroine with 'Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi'. I am happy to lose weight for the role. This is a clean and nice movie typical that of Sanjay Leela Bhansali,” she concluded.

‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’ is a romantic comedy and is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Sister Bela Bhansali Sehgal.

Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali the movie is all set to release on August 24.
