Australian Cricketer Shaun Tait to star in 'Kai Po Che'

Cricket plays an integral part of big screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘3 Mistakes of My Life’ ‘Kai Po Che!’.

The movie features Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Rajkumar Yadav in key roles. The production house UTV Motion Pictures have already roped in Indian Cricketer Ashish Nehra to coach Sushant Singh for his role in the movie.

If the current reports are to be believed then Australian Cricketer Shaun Tait might make his Bollywood debut with this movie.

“Ashish suggested Shaun's name when the makers were brainstorming on whom to cast for the part. But unlike Ashish, Shaun will actually play a prominent role in the film. UTV is in final talks with Shaun, who has shown interest in the film,” said a source to IANS.

“Abhishek Kapoor wanted a well-known international fast bowler for the climax. And Abhishek's good friend Ashish put us in touch with Shaun. We're in discussions with him, and hope to have him on board soon,” confirmed Manish Hariprasad, creative director, studios, Disney-UTV.

But Shaun Tait will accept to be the part of the movie only if the schedule of movie’s shooting doesn’t clash with his commitments to Australian Cricket.

“Cricket will always come first for him. He liked the script and wants to do the film, but he will only give them a go-ahead if his timings work out,” the source said.

So the production house is currently chalking out movie’s schedule keeping Shaun Tait’s Cricket commitments in mind.
