Actress Vidya Balan, who plays a housewife in upcoming comedy movie ‘Ghanchakkar’, said that she wants to dispel that notion that housewives are boring through her character.

“I play a Punjabi housewife in ‘Ghanchakkar’ and hopefully, me, with this one; will put to rest the notion that housewives are boring. That's a very huge misconception and I hope people realize that after ‘Ghanchakkar’,” said Vidya Balan to IANS.

The actress will be reuniting with her ‘The Dirty Picture’ co-star Emraan Hashmi, with whom her chemistry was praised, in this movie.

When asked about her great chemistry with Emraan Hashmi in the movie she said, “I think Raaz 3? (secret) of our chemistry is that we may have said three words to each other in ‘The Dirty Picture’, but in this one we have said six words. So, it should probably double the chemistry between us.”

‘Ghanchakkar’ is directed by Rajkumar Gupta.

The movie is scheduled to release early next year.
