On the occasion of her grandfather’s 70th birthday on Thursday, Aaradhya Bachchan made her red carpet debut. This was also the first time that the Bachchan family let media click a few pictures of Aaradhya without trying to shield from prying eyes.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said that protecting her daughter came naturally to their family as they don’t want Aaradhya to be hassled.
“I think it is the job of media to take pictures or bytes. But as a mother, as a family, we were just trying to be protective. She is too small and new to this world. I did not want her to get hassled. It was just a natural instinct of being protective,” said Aishwarya Rai to a reporter on occasion of Amitabh Bachchan 70th birthday.
Aaradhya Bachchan was present along with the entire family when Amitabh Bachchan cut cake at the midnight.
“She was a part of the celebrations. I was on double duty as she was in and out of sleep. But that is ok, I have no complaints. I love her very much. I love to spend time with her,” Aishwarya concluded.
Amitabh Bachchan’s 70th birthday was celebrated in a grand style with a huge bash which included who’s who of Bollywood and political world. The night filled with glitz, glamour, music, performances and fantastic food saw nearly 800 guests.
