After delivering a hit with horror movie ‘Raaz 3’, Emraan Hashmi is gearing up for the release of his next movie ‘Rush’.

In the movie ‘Rush’ Emraan Hashmi, who has played many variety of characters, will be playing a crime reporter for the first time. But he still thinks that his audience would be able to connect with his character.

“My characters always do wrong things and then there is redemption. That is why, people can relate with them. This has become my persona on screen. I find this fascinating,” said Emraan Hashmi to IANS.

The actor also said that they have tried to keep the character as real as possible but added a bit of suspense and thrill to make the character more interesting.

“We have tried to make the character as genuine as possible, but have added a commercial touch to the story as well. We have shown an authentic world about TRPs and breaking news and have added murder and suspense around it to make it more interesting,” he said.

Emraan Hashmi denied that his character was based on any real life crime reporters.

“There are a lot of journalists who come to mind when you read the script. But it is a combination of many and it is a completely fictional world,” he said.

The movie directed by late Shamin Desai and was completed by his wife Priyanka Desai after Shamin Desai’s demise.

Along with Emraan Hashmi the movie also stars Neha Dhupia, Sagarika Ghatge and Aditya Pancholi.

The movie is expected to release on October 24.
