Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala, who was admitted to Mumbai's Jaslok Hospital three days ago, has reportedly been diagnosed with cancer.
The actress has been unwell for the past few days and was rushed to hospital after she lost her consciousness.
According to Manisha Koirala’s close friend, the actress has taken the news of her illness in a positive spirit. She will undergo further treatment in Jaslok hospital itself.
But Krishnakant Dasyam, Jaslok Hospital PRO said that the reports were mere speculations.
“All these reports are merely speculation. Her check-up is still not complete and her tests are being carried out. She is fine and is undergoing treatment. There has been no diagnosis as such,” he said to Mid-Day.
On being asked what tests had been carried out, he said, “We can’t reveal what tests are being conducted as the patient has requested us to maintain confidentiality.”
The Nepali actress Manisha Koirala, who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Saudagar’ in 1991, was one of the top heroines in 90’s and acted in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil movies. The actress is hailed for her performances in ‘1942 Love Story’, ‘Bombay’, ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Mann’.
The actress recently made her comeback to Bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Bhoot Returns’.
