The release date of Salman Khan’s eagerly anticipated movie ‘Dabangg 2’ is fast approaching.

Talking about the sequel, Salman Khan said that the movie was very different from the original and audience should consider it as a movie after interval.

"It's not the same. We are not copying and giving you the same picture. It's a different film," said Salman Khan.

“Consider part one (Dabangg) as the one before interval and this (Dabangg 2) as after the interval,” he added.

The actor said that ‘Dabangg 2’ too belonged to the same masala genre that 'Dabangg' belonged to.

“‘Dabangg’ was of a particular genre and now a similar genre film is coming out ‘Dabangg 2’,” he said.

Recently Salman Khan launched the item song ‘Fevicol’, featuring Kareena Kapoor, from the movie on his TV show ‘Bigg Boss’.

When asked why he chose ‘Bigg Boss’ to promote the song, the actor said, “I am the host of Bigg Boss. Wherever I get time and wherever the channel feels that ‘Dabangg 2’ promotions can be done, they do it.”

Directed by Arbaaz Khan, the movie also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Prakash Raj. Arbaaz Khan too has a crucial role in the movie.

The movie is all set to release on December 21.
