Recently it was reported that actress Parineeti Chopra was confirmed to star opposite Akshay Kumar in AR Murugadoss’ Hindi remake of super hit Tamil movie ‘Thuppakki’.

But according to latest reports Akshay Kumar is very keen on having Sonakshi Sinha on board and the makers seem to agree with Akshay Kumar.

In fact Parineeti Chopra’s spokesperson confirmed that the actress wasn’t doing the movie.

“She is not doing the film,” said Parineeti Chopra’s spokesperson.

Apparently Sonakshi Sinha was miffed that Akshay Kumar, with whom she has worked in ‘Rowdy Rathore’ and ‘Joker’ and did a special appearance in his movie ‘Oh My God’, did not recommend her for the most eagerly awaited project upfront.

“The fact that Sonakshi was possibly not the first choice for ‘Thuppakki’ did not agree with her since she had pinned her hopes on Akki. After ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘Joker’ and the special appearance in ‘Oh My God’, she had hoped that Akki would reward her commitment by offering her the lead role in one of his biggest films this season. When that did not happen, she had retreated hurt,” said a source to a daily.

But now that Akshay Kumar has approached her with the project, Sonakshi Sinha is quite happy and has even seen the original Tamil action thriller with Akshay Kumar last week.

Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha are already working together in ‘Once Upon a Time In Mumbaai 2’.
