Salman Khan said that his younger brother, Arbaaz Khan, who produced ‘Dabangg’ but not has only produced but directed ‘Dabangg 2’, wasn’t a complete rookie when it comes to direction as he had experience as an assistant director.
“Arbaaz has been an assistant director, so he has been on the sets and he knows everything. So it was not like a new guy directing a movie,” said Salman Khan to IANS.
The actor went on to add that he and Arbaaz Khan share a good professional relationship and helped each other out on sets.
“The comfort between me and Arbaaz is great. We used to help each other out. As a storyteller, he is fantastic. Arbaaz is a very sensible guy,” he said.
Salman Khan, who was the first to spot Sonakshi Sinha’s talent and insisted her to lose weight and join the films, revealed that Sonakshi plays a pregnant lady in the movie and hence has put on a bit of weight.
“When she entered the film industry, we all knew she was very talented. What she had to do was to lose her weight, which she did before joining the film industry. Of late, there were reports that she had put on little bit of weight again, but that was for ‘Dabangg 2’ as she plays a pregnant woman in the film,” he said.
“She could not look like a model; she had to look like a (regular) housewife. So she had to look three to four months pregnant,” Salman Khan concluded.
‘Dabangg 2’, directed by Arbaaz Khan, stars Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Prakash Raj. Arbaaz Khan will reprise his role as Salman Khan’s brother in the film. Malaika Arora Khan and Kareena Kapoor make special appearances in ‘Pandeyji Seeti Maare’ and ‘Fevicol’ songs respectively.
The movie will release tomorrow, on December 21.
