Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who along with Amitabh Bachchan has been nominated for ‘India's Prime Icon’ award, said that he holds Amitabh Bachchan in high regard and says he neither sees himself on the same platform as the megastar nor can he ever compete with the veteran actor.

“I don't even feel I am on the same platform as him (Amitabh Bachchan), I am not even anywhere close. I can't compete with him because I hold him in such high esteem," Aamir Khan said in a statement.

Aamir Khan along with of Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, AR Rahman and Narendra Modi has been nominated for the title of India's Prime Icon on Big CBS Prime.

Both Aamir Khan and AR Rahman are out of the contest, while actor Amitabh Bachchan, politician Narendra Modi and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar are the top three contenders.

Though Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have mutual admiration for one another and hold each other in high esteem, they have never worked together.
