'Silver Linings Playbook' getting 8 Academy nominations is Anupam Kher's biggest moment

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher, who plays a supporting role in Hollywood movie ‘Silver Linings Playbook’, is glad that his movie got eight nominations at the 85th Academy Awards. He said "this is the biggest moment of my life".

“As an Indian actor, I feel rewarded for my 30 years of contribution to cinema. I am glad to have worked with the fabulous cast and crew of Silver Linings Playbook," Anupam Kher said in a statement to IANS.

“(Director) David O. Russell is undoubtedly a brilliant filmmaker and he has proved it again. A major part of me as an actor feels satiated today," added the actor.

The movie bagged eight Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, Best Director (David O. Russell), Best Actor (Bradley Cooper), Best Actress (Jennifer Lawrence), Best Supporting Actor (Robert De Niro), Best Supporting Actress (Jacki Weaver), Best Adapted Screenplay (David O. Russell) and Best Film Editing (Jay Cassidy and Crispin Struthers).

Anupam Kher plays the role of Dr. Patel in the film.
