2013 began on a great note for actress Parineeti Chopra as she has been signed to play the female lead in Karan Johar’s upcoming production venture.
“I am very kicked about the project. It's going to be a crazy love story full of romance, masala and music. As of now, I can't speak about my role or divulge details but you will hear more exciting news soon," said Parineeti Chopra to Mid-Day in an interview.
The actress will be seen opposite model turned actor Siddharth Malhotra, who made his Bollywood debut last year with Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’.
The actress said that she is excited to work with Siddharth Malhotra.
“Even I am one, relatively (laughs)! I am very kicked about working with Siddharth. He was great in ‘Student of the Year’, and had all the girls swooning over him. I am sure that working together will be fun,” she said.
Actress, whose performance in both ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’ and ‘Ishaqzaade’ has been appreciated, said that she loves to work.
“I love working. The days when I am away from the sets, I feel low and depressed. Once acting happened, I understood that it was the thing that made and kept me truly happy,” concluded Parineeti Chopra.
The movie will be directed by ad filmmaker Vinil Mathew.
