Pakistani singer turned actor Ali Zafar is all set to play an action hero for the first time in Shaad Ali’s upcoming movie ‘Kill Dil’ that also stars Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles.

Ali Zafar, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Tere Bin Laden’, which earned him accolades for his brilliant performance and later starred in romantic comedies like ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, ‘London Paris New York’, is hoping to shed his image as romantic hero with this film.

“Ali will star alongside Parineeti Chopra and Ranveer Singh. Ali believes that this film will break his image of the romantic hero,” said a source to a daily.

Ali Zafar is very excited about the movie and said that he is looking forward to perform stunts in the movie.

“I am happy with the kinds of roles that are being offered to me. I will get a chance to perform some stunts as well,” said Ali Zafar.

Directed by Shaad Ali, whose previous movie ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ failed to make an impact at the box-office, ‘Kill Dil’ is produced by Yash Raj Films.

The movie will go on floors this October and will release in 2014.
