Actress Konkona Sen Sharma will be seen on big screen after a gap of two years in the supernatural horror movie ‘Ek Thi Daayan’.

The actress, who is known for her unconventional roles, said that she is excited about the movie as she always wanted to act in a supernatural thriller.

“For the first time I am doing a supernatural thriller. I was quite excited when I was offered the film. I am happy and contended to do a movie like this,” said Konkona Sen Sharma to IANS.

‘Ek Thi Daayan’ directed by Kannan Iyer is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj.

“When I heard Vishal Bhardwaj and Ekta Kapoor are backing the film...I was all the more excited. I knew it will be good," she said.

Along with Konkona Sen Sharma, the movie also stars Emraan Hashmi, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi.

The movie tells a story about a magician, played by Emraan Hashmi, and a witch. Who among the three lead actresses’ plays a witch has been kept a secret.

Konkona Sen Sharma said that she has always found this genre to be very interesting and fascinating.

“I have a fascination for supernatural thrillers. I love watching scary movies. I love to get psyched out," she concluded.

The movie is scheduled to release on April 18.
