Manisha Koirala unlikely to return home for six months

Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala, who is currently undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer in New York, is unlikely to return home for six months, said her manager.

“Manisha is recovering. I had a word with her yesterday (Sunday). She said she is feeling much better now. She will not be coming to India at least for the next six months. She is undergoing her treatment there, so she will be back only after her treatment,” said Subroto Ghosh, Manisha's manager, to IANS.

“She is not allowed to talk much but as I always say, she has taken things very positively. Her parents are by her side,” he added.

The actress was admitted in Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai on November 28 after she lost her consciousness. Manisha Koirala was in hospital for 3 days, where she underwent many tests. It was diagnosed that Manisha Koirala had ovarian cancer.

The actress later flew to US for further tests and treatment. On December 10th the actress underwent surgery for the same. The surgery was declared successful. The actress is currently undergoing chemotherapy.

Manisha Koirala, who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Saudagar’ in 1991, was one of the top heroines in 90’s and acted in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil movies. The actress is known for her performances in ‘1942 Love Story’, ‘Bombay’, ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Mann’.

The actress recently made her comeback in Bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Bhoot Returns’.
