Bollywood actor Salman Khan has a set a brand new record by signing a Rs. 500 Crore (5 billion) deal with Star TV Network.
According to this contract Star TV Network now own exclusive broadcast rights to movies involving Salman Khan from 2013.
“Yes, we have signed a deal with Salman Khan and whoever asks me why Salman, I would only say why not Salman Khan? His past box office record has been outstanding and his film, which has been premiered on TV, is exceptional,” said Hemal Jhaveri, general manager at Star Gold to IANS.
“He still has the highest record for his film 'Bodyguard' which had the highest rating so far," he added.
Since 2009 Salman Khan has grown strength to strength and delivered one hit after another. All of his movies – Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010), Ready (2011), Bodyguard (2011), Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Dabangg 2 (2012) - have been declared blockbuster hits.
"The deal is from 2013 onwards where all his films in which he acts, produces or be part of, we will have the broadcast rights exclusively with us," said Jhaveri.
In 2013 Salman Khan has few eagerly anticipated movies – ‘Kick’, ‘Radhe’ and ‘No Entry Mein Entry’ releasing.
