It was rumored that Saif Ali Khan’s wife, Kareena Kapoor, was approached to play one of the female leads in Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Race 2’.

Actor Saif Ali Khan not only denied this news but also said that they would have turned down the offer to work in a movie together.

“I don't think she was offered ‘Race 2’ and if she had been, we both probably would have said no,” said Saif Ali Khan to NDTV in an interview.

Saif Ali Khan, who has worked with Kareena Kapoor in three movies, believes that the more comfortable a couple are in real life, the more "terrible" they are to watch on film.

“I don't need to work with Kareena in order to feel fulfilled,” he said.

“Kareena is a great actor and it would have been nice to work with her," he added.

The actor said that he won’t be working with his new wife even if the script is fantastic.

“I feel it burdens the script when you put two of us together. The fun of the scene becomes dull and that's a danger,” he concluded.

The three movies that the real life couple has worked in – ‘Tashan’, ‘Kurbaan’ and ‘Agent Vinod’- proved to be a dud at the box-office.
