Veteran actor Pran, who has been hospitalized since December, is recovering and his health is improving, the family said today.

The legendary actor was admitted to the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai on December 25 after a health scare.

“He is still in the hospital. He is improving...he is much better now," his son Sunil told PTI.

But the son refused to reveal the reason behind yesteryear actor’s hospitalization.

Previously too, Pran was admitted to hospital in November last year, soon after Diwali. But he was soon discharged on November 24.

The 92 year old legend is considered as one of the best villains in Bollywood. He has acted in over 350 movies. His roles in movies like 'Badi Behen', 'Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai', 'Half Ticket', Purab Aur Paschim', 'Don', Zanjeer' are considered few of his best performances.

For his contribution of Indian Cinema the actor was honored with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2001.
