If the rumors are to be believed then Abhishek Bachchan and Bobby Deol might be cast as the male leads in the remake of 1980 classic ‘Do Aur Do Paanch’.

The 1980 movie was directed by Rakesh Kumar and had Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Parveen Babi and Hema Malini in central characters.

It is reported that the remake will be helmed by ‘Hum Tum’ fame director Kunal Kohli.

It is said that Abhishek Bachchan will play the role essayed by his father, Amitabh Bachchan, in the original. Bobby Deol will play the role of Shashi Kapoor. Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor played roles of thieves in the movie.

The female leads for the movie haven’t been finalized yet.

 “Yes Bobby has been signed for ‘Do Aur Do Paanch’ remake," sources said to PTI.

When contacted Kunal Kohli neither confirmed nor denied the news.

“I am not making any statement on this now... I am not saying anything now,” the filmmaker said.

Abhishek Bachchan and Bobby Deol have already worked together in ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ and ‘Players’. Both the movies failed to make an impression at the box-office.
