Actor Sanjay Dutt will be doing a cameo in Rajkumar Gupta’s upcoming comedy movie ‘Ghanchakkar’. ‘Ghanchakkar’ stars Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan in lead roles.

According to sources it’s upon Vidya Balan’s request that Sanjay Dutt has accepted to do a cameo in the movie despite his tight schedule.

“Vidya has worked with Sanju in ‘Parineeta’ and ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ and they get along very well. When UTV had initially approached Sanjay with the cameo, he was very tied up,” said a source to a daily.

The sources said that when Vidya approached Sanjay for the cameo he couldn’t turn her down.

“Sanjay could not say no to Vidya. After returning from Jaipur where he is shooting for Raju Hirani's film, he will start work on ‘Ghanchakkar’,” the sources added.

‘Ghanchakkar’ is a comedy movie in which Vidya Balan plays a Punjabi housewife. Vidya Balan’s ‘The Dirty Picture’ co-star Emraan Hashmi plays Vidya Balan’s husband and an ex-conman.

‘Ghanchakkar’ is produced by Vidya's husband Siddharth Roy Kapur of UTV.

The movie will release on June 21.
