After making the blockbuster hit ‘Agneepath’, which raked in Rs. 125 Crore at the box-office, the team of Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar and Karan Malhotra are reuniting for their second movie ‘Shuddhi’.
‘Shuddhi’ will be directed by Karan Malhotra, who made his directorial debut with ‘Agneepath’, and will be produced by Karan Johar.
The movie will star Hrithik Roshan as the male lead. The female lead for the movie hasn’t been decided yet.
Karan Johar even went ahead and locked Diwali of 2014 as the release date for the movie.
Karan Johar confirmed the news and said that ‘Shuddhi’ will be very different from ‘Agneepath’.
“These days it is very important to have the release date in order. ‘Shuddhi’ is a love story at its heart and with Hrithik's intensity, he will be seen in a completely different role than in ‘Agneepath’,” confirmed Karan Johar.
“This is a big budget film and with its theme and qualities and the vision that we have, it warrants a celebration period like Diwali for its release,” he added.
The movie will go on floors later this year.
