The biography of legendary actor legendary actor Dilip Kumar is ready to be released this month said the author of the book Uday Tara Nayar.
The author, Uday Tara Nayar, is a very close friend of the veteran actor and had earlier planned on releasing the book on actor’s 90th birthday, December 11 2012. But due to some unknown reasons the launch of the book was postponed.
“The book is almost ready and we are planning to launch his biography in October. The date is not yet fixed,” said the author to IANS.
“As soon as Dilip Saab is well enough to launch it, we shall do it. There is immense improvement in his health so we may soon launch the book," added Nayar.
But the author denied the news that the book will be released on October 11, anniversary of Dilip Kumar Saab and Saira Banu.
“No, not so soon as it's not completely ready yet. It will go further may be to the end of October. We also need somebody big to release it,” he said.
The biography about the actor is divided into two parts. One part concentrates on life of the actor as an actor and second part on his romance and marriage with Saira Banu. The author said that the biography will feature never heard before stories about the actor and also contain rare pictures of the legend and his family.
Earlier authors Vinita Lamba, Sanjit Nawrekar and Lord Meghnad Desai too published autobiographies about the thespian.
Dilip Kumar’s career is spread over 40 years. The actor has featured in some classic movies like ‘Mughal-E-Azam’, ‘Naya Daur’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Hulchul’, ‘Ganga Jamuna’ and ‘Ram Aur Shyam’. The actor was last seen in ‘Qila’ in 1998.
