Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who is playing a negative character for the first time in ‘Dhoom 3’, said that he doesn’t play a quintessential villain in the movie.

“When I heard the script I loved it. It touched me. The villains in Dhoom series are different. They are not the regular villains. I am not playing a black kind of a villain who does only bad work. He has his own circumstances and situations to do things. I am not playing a quintessential villain,” said Aamir Khan to PTI.

The actor revealed that he prepared for 2 years for his role in the movie.

“I am playing a gymnast, so I need to have a certain physique. I did a lot of hard work for it. I have worked hard on my body for two years," the actor said.

In ‘Dhoom 3’ Aamir Khan plays Sahir, the 'clown' thief.

“In 25 years of my career, this is the toughest role ever. There were challenges in terms of performance. The stunts were amazing. Luckily I haven't broken any bone. The stunts were difficult but they were safe," Aamir said.

Aamir Khan said that he was feeling a bit nervous and eager to gauge reaction as ‘Dhoom 3’ comes with very high expectations.

“The story of ‘Dhoom 3’ has emotions but at the same time thrill also," he said.

“We hope we will create ‘Dhoom’, hope people enjoy the film. I am not looking for record. I want audience to like what we have made. They should get entertained and satisfied after watching the film," he added.

Aamir Khan revealed that he has been a fan of ‘Dhoom’ franchise and loved Hrithik Roshan’s acting in ‘Dhoom 2’.

“I was looking forward to work with Abhishek and Uday. Abhishek is good and straight in the film but in reality he is not like that. While Uday in the film is tedha but he is good in real life," Aamir said.

It’s reported that producer Aditya Chopra and Aamir are looking for a unique marketing strategy where all promotional initiatives, ranging from theatrical launch to music launch, will be done in a never-seen-before style.

"There is no particular strategy for it (film). I hope I have creative differences with producers in every film in good way. YRF is a great production house. They know the business well and are good in marketing," Aamir said.

‘Dhoom 3’ stars Katrina Kaif opposite Aamir Khan.

Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will reprise their previous roles of Jai Dixit and Ali in the movie.

The movie is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by YRF.

The movie is all set to release during Christmas this year, December 20.
