Actress Sonakshi Sinha and actor Arjun Kapoor will be seen together for the first time in Boney Kapoor’s next home production.

The movie is a remake of Telugu superhit movie ‘Okkadu’. The Telugu version starred Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika in lead roles. Prakash Raj essayed the role of a villain in this movie.

The Hindi version of the movie will be directed by debutant director Amit Sharma. Though Amit Sharma has never directed a movie, his Google ad film, titled ‘Reunion’, has received rave reviews and has gone viral online.

“I was approached for the movie before people saw the Google ad. I guess people, with whom I had worked, had spoken to Boney about me. He told me about the movie and things fell into place. He is a fantastic guy to work with. The movie will be co-produced by Sanjay Kapoor,” said Amit Sharma to DNA.

The debutant filmmaker is looking forward to work with Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha.

“I have seen Arjun’s ‘Ishaqzaade’ and many of Sonakshi’s films including ‘Lootera’. I am sure it’ll be great fun working with them on this movie,” he said.

The shooting of the movie will begin in January 2014.
