According to latest reports, VJ turned actor Ayushmann Khurrana has been approached to play the lead role in Tigmanshu Dhulia's ‘Milan Talkies’.

The reports said that the actor has been signed for the film, to be produced by Ekta Kapoor, and it is expected to go on the floors in a few months.

"The talks are still on but nothing is finalized yet as to whether he will do the film or not," sources close to the actor told PTI.

Earlier the Imran Khan was signed for the movie. But due to the difference that crept between the actor and producer Ekta Kapoor during the promotions of ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara’ the actor decided to walk out of the movie.

Later Shahid Kapoor was approached for the movie and though the actor was interested in the script he couldn’t sign the movie due to date issues.

The makers had approached Priyanka Chopra to make the female lead earlier.

Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, the movie is produced by Ekta Kapoor.
