National Award winning actress Vidya Balan is elated about being honored with a Padma Shri award this year.

The actress dedicated her award to her family and said that award was a matter as ‘great pride’.

“I'm thrilled. I'm overjoyed. I'm overwhelmed. I'm honored. I'm humbled...! I'm running out of words to express my feelings and gratitude,” said Vidya Balan to PTI.

To be receiving this honor from the government of my country is a matter of great pride for me and I dedicate this award to my family who make me, me!," she added.

Vidya Balan, who made her with movie ‘Parineeta’, has established herself as one of the best actresses in Bollywood.

The actress has received rave reviews for her performances in movies like ‘Paa’, ‘Ishqiya’, ‘No One Killed Jessica’, ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’.

The actress won National Award as well as Filmfare award for her brilliant portrayal of Silk in ‘The Dirty Picture’.

Vidya Balan will next be seen opposite Farhan Akhtar in ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’.
