Actor Hrithik Roshan has finally laid the speculations about his upcoming movie ‘Shuddhi’ to rest.

‘Shuddhi’, directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar, was supposed to reunite Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor on big screen after seven long years.

But due to Hrithik Roshan’s health reasons the movie has constantly been postponed. And now the actor has decided to pull out of the movie.

“Karan Malhotra and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post ‘Shuddhi’. For now, I cannot allow a vision like ‘Shuddhi’ to stagnate any further," the 40-year-old said in an official statement to IANS.

The actor who has worked with Karan Malhotra and Karan Johar in ‘Agneepath’ wished the duo all the success for the upcoming movie and hopes that it will be a "landmark" in the Indian cinema.

“I had the finest experience an actor can have while working with Karan in ‘Agneepath’ and I'm sure both my dear Karans (Malhotra and Johar) will go beyond with that one. ‘Shuddhi’ remains a part of me in spirit and (I) am sure it will be a landmark in our cinema. I wish them all the best," he concluded.

Previously Kareena Kapoor too had stated that she wasn’t sure she wanted to be a part of ‘Shuddhi’ anymore.
