Actor Akshay Kumar, who was initially known for his action movies and earned himself the title of ‘Khiladi’, is making a comeback into his forte with ‘Rowdy Rathore’.

The actor during the trailer launch of the movie said that he was excited to get back into his element once again.

“There is a lot of excitement. After seven years I am again doing action. It was because of action that I came into this industry and again I am getting a chance to do action. I am feeling as if I am a newcomer who will be doing action for the first time after seven years,” he said.

“I started my career with action. So, action is always going to be very close to my heart. It is in me and that is all I am going to keep doing to do this till the day I die,” he added.

Akshay Kumar’s look in the movie is being compared with that of Salman Khan in ‘Dabangg’. And given that the recent action hero in Bollywood is Salman Khan with movies like ‘Wanted’, ‘Ready’, ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Bodyguard’, the comparison was inevitable.

But Akshay Kumar firmly said that he dint compare himself to anyone.

“We work in the industry together. We are not race horses that we will be tagged with one or two number. Such numbers do not work. I don`t compare myself to anyone. He is my friend. He does his work and I just do my work,” he said.

The movie is directed by Prabhu Deva, who also directed Salman Khan’s ‘Wanted’, and stars Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead.

‘Rowdy Rathore’ is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and will release on June 1, 2012.
