Even though Karan Johar denied that work on his next home production has begun, sources say otherwise.

Previously there were reports that Karan Johar was planning on bringing together one of most beloved Jodi of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol together in his next. After he denied these rumors it was reported that it would Ajay Devgn and Kajol.

But now sources inform that Karan Johar has scarped that idea on is planning to have a never seen before pair of Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in his movie.

The filmmaker, who has previously brought together the unlikely pair of Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sen Sharma, Imran Khan and Sonam and Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, feels that bringing in new pair will have refreshing chemistry.

Apparently Taran Vir Singh, who was assistant director for Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Wake Up Sid’, is all set to make his debut as a director with this untitled project.

Actress Deepika Padukone is currently filming for Karan Johar’s production ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Dewaani’ directed by Ayan Mukerji. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor.

Shahid Kapoor on the other hand is busy promoting his movie ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ with Priyanka Chopra.
