Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming movie ‘Ram Leela’ has been in news a lot lately due to its casting coup.

The director while announcing the movie had said that the movie would star Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor as Indian Romeo and Juliet. Sanjay Leela Bhansali had made his excitement of working with Kareena Kapoor, with whom he has wanted to work for a long time now, very evident during the announcement.

But later reports came in stating that Kareena Kapoor was out of the project. While Kareena stated she dropped out of the movie due to date issues, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had said that he let go of Kareena as he dint think a married Kareena would do justice to the role of Juliet.

Later the director considered various actresses for his movie including Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. But only last week the director zeroed in on Deepika Padukone.

But according to the latest reports, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has gone back to his original choice Kareena Kapoor as the actress’s wedding with Saif Ali Khan has reportedly been postponed. The actress too was excited to come back to the project but has agreed to be a part on the project on her terms.

“He was not too sure about Deepika essaying the role. Even after auditions he felt she was not apt for it. He did toy with the idea of launching a new face but later felt that Kareena suited the character best. He eventually went back to her,” said a source to a daily.

“She knew she was the original choice, after all. She agreed to be part of it again on her terms and conditions,” the source added.

Apparently Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s wedding wont take place anytime soon and will only happen next year by which time the director and actress hope to wrap up the project.
