Manisha Koirala discharged from hospital

Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and underwent surgery in US, was recently released from the hospital.

Actress’s manager confirmed the news and said that actress was stable and was recovering.

“Manisha's condition is stable now. Post the surgery, she has been discharged and is back to the hotel. She got discharged on Dec 18,” said Subroto Ghosh, Manisha's manager, to IANS.

“She is very brave and extremely strong. She has taken things very positively," he added.

Manisha Koirala flew to US after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer and underwent surgery on December 10. The surgery was declared successful.

Asked him how long she will stay in New York, Ghosh said: "She will be there for at least three more months. Now her treatment is going on and she is responding well. Her parents are with her."

The actress was admitted in Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai on November 28 after she lost her consciousness. Manisha Koirala was in hospital for 3 days where she underwent many tests. The actress later flew to US for further tests and treatment.

Manisha Koirala, who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Saudagar’ in 1991, was one of the top heroines in 90’s and acted in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil movies. The actress is known for her performances in ‘1942 Love Story’, ‘Bombay’, ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Mann’.

The actress recently made her comeback in Bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Bhoot Returns’.
