Added by harini on Jun 17, 2011

Ever since the song ‘DK Bose’ from the movie ‘Delhi Belly’ released it has been in midst of controversies. The song became popular over night with the young audience thanks to its fresh and bold nature.

Though one set of audience have loved the song, the others are infuriated. Where some appreciate the song for its bold nature, the other ridicules it for the same.

A set of people believe that the song is bad influence on the youth and that it shouldn’t have been allowed to play on television with a U certificate.

After an overwhelming number of angry mails to ‘The information and Broadcasting Ministry’, the Ministry has now decided to file a formal complaint against the Censor Board questioning their action on clearing the song ‘DK Bose’ to be aired on television.

The song has been sung and composed by Ram Sampat, who currently is enjoying immensely popularity thanks to the song.

Ramu to make his version of Bhoot sequel

Added by harini on Jun 16, 2011

The movie ‘Bhoot’ became a huge hit in the year 2003. Though the movie was very successful, there was a fall out between the director of the movie Ram Gopal Varma and the producer Nitin Manmohan.

So when Nitin Manmohan recently decided to make a sequel, it was no wonder that he over looked Ram Gopal Varma. Nitin instead chose Vikram Bhatt who recently delivered a hit horror flick in 3D, to direct the sequel of Bhoot. The sequel is rumored to have even the original star cast.

This though dint go down well with Ram Gopal Varma. He considers ‘Bhoot’ as his child and thinks that Nitin is trying to get back at him by handing over the project to Vikram Bhatt. He recently tweeted saying – “Am very excited about this new horror film I am starting...its title is... "BHHOOoo.!” which will be his version of Bhoot 2.

About the title he tweeted saying – “Title BHHOOoo comes from that it’s the most commonly uttered sound by us as kids when we want to scare the daylights out of anyone”.

Releasing this might affect the adult viewer ship he tweeted – “But when that sound BHHOOo we utter as kids is used in a adult horror film context, it completely changes in its intention and intensity”.

Though legally the rights to make a sequel for the movie lay with the producer, Ramu said “Let's see who can stop me from making it. Bhhooo is the sound we generally make when we want to scare the daylights out of our enemies. That's what I want to do to my enemies who are now doing a sequel to my film on the sly.”

Imran Khan to file a PIL

Added by harini on Jun 15, 2011

Many Bollywood stars have already voiced their displeased opinion over the new drinking law. The new drinking law states that a person should be 25 or above to consume alcohol. This has caused uproar all over the country. And the latest to join in is Imran Khan.

Imran Khan, who has become a youth icon of sorts, is taking it a bit further and has decided to file a PIL… Public Interest Litigation regarding the same. It is confirmed that the legal process is underway and that his legal counselors are working on it.

Imran said that with filling PIL he isn’t advocating the consumption of alcohol but thinks that youth should have the right to choose. He said when a person could vote at 18, get married and have kids by 21, to ban people from drinking till 25 sounds ridiculous.

Imran Khan isn’t the 1st one to advocate this idea. Big B had tweeted before saying - On drinking age limit increased to 25 ! Err .. old and mature enough to vote for the country, or join army ..and fight for the nation...but not old and mature enough to be told when you are allowed to drink ???? Strange ?!!!! (sic) ."
