The latest buzz doing rounds in tinsel town is that Genelia D’Souza is out of Rohit Shetty’s movie ‘Bol Bachchan’.
Genelia had been paired opposite Abhishek Bachchan in the movie, which also features Ajay Devgn and Asin in the lead roles. Genelia was very excited while signing the movie as this would have been her sure shot to success.
There is contradicting news as to why Genelia isn’t in the movie anymore.
It is a known fact that Katrina Kaif spent her birthday promoting her recent movie ‘Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara’. But it is little known that she spent her afternoon having lunch at Salman Khan’s home.
According to a source, after promoting the movie, Katrina Kaif drove to Salman's house (Galaxy Apartments, Bandstand) for a special birthday lunch with the Khan family. The Khan family whipped up their all their specialties which included Kheema-pav and Rajma Chawal. The source also added that for once Katrina ate to her hearts content without bothering about the diet.
Shah Rukh Khan and co is leaving no stone unturned to make Ra. One movie as huge as possible.
The production house has now decided that Shah Rukh Khan will be riding none other than Batman’s bike for a sequence to be shot at end of next week.
This is one of very last and crucial scenes left in the movie. The shooting will take place in Filmistan Studios, Goregaon.
"SRK will be doing a rescue act in the scene, which also requires him to indulge in some real adrenaline pumping stunts," informed a source. It is in this scene that SRK will be riding the bike that has been designed to resemble Batman’s batpod.
Sonam Kapoor is elated to be part of ‘Mausam’ but if things had gone according to plans then Sonakshi Sinha would have been in her shoes.
Sonakshi Sinha was the 1st choice for the role. She was supposed to go for screen test but was replaced last minute by Sonam Kapoor.
The makers of the movie felt that Sonakshi and Shahid would not look good on screen together, so they opted for Sonam Kapoor.
After the success of Dabangg, Shahid Kapoor is keen on working with Sonakshi Sinha. The buzz is that the actor is trying to connect with the actress through common friends.
But due to her past experiences, Sonakshi Sinha isn’t keen to work with Shahid. She seems to have not forgiven Shahid Kapoor yet.
Katrina Kaif celebrates her birthday today. The beautiful actress will be turing 27.
When asked about how she likes to spend her birthdays, the actress said that she prefers a calm and quiet birthday with family and friends to a huge party. “That’s what I like. It’s fun to let your hair down and party once in a while,” said the actress.
She said that her movie ‘Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara’ releasing on eve of her Birthday was the best present she could have asked for. She also said that she would make plans to meet the cast of the movie soon only if they don’t surprise her first. They are quite a pampering lot,” she said.
The death of Bibi, an international stunt artist from Berlin and stunt double of Priyanka Chopra in ‘Don 2’ has left the cast and crew of ‘Don 2’ shell shocked.
The stunt artist passed away on Monday under “unknown circumstances”.
“It is shocking and sad for the entire team. Bibi was such a lovely lady. It is tough to believe that she is no more. Though I don’t know the exact reason, as far as I have figured it out, an accident during her recent mountain trip caused her death. She worked on the most difficult stunts effortlessly and with a smile. She loved the fact that she was working on a Bollywood film,” said Farhan Akhtar the director of the movie.
Prakash Jha is known to make movies with hard hitting subjects. Be it his 'Mrityudand', 'Gangajal', 'Apaharan' or 'Raajneeti’, they have all touched the subjects the other directors generally shy away from.
His latest movie ‘Aarakshan’ is no different. It touches the very delicate issue of reservations for minority communities. This has already caused uproar among few parties and ‘The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC)’ has actually asked the director to screen the movie for them before the release.
Arbaaz Khan who will start shooting of ‘Dabangg 2’ by early next year has denied the rumors that his youngest brother Sohail Khan will feature in the sequel.
“Dabangg sequel starts mid next year and doesn't have my brother Sohail acting in it like some newspaper reported”, Arbaaz tweeted.
The rumors started after the sources claimed that Sohail showed strong interest to be a part of the sequel.
After the director Abhinav Kashyap opted out of the sequel, Arbaaz Khan has decided to helm the project himself.
The sequel will star Salman Khan and Sonakshi in the lead yet again and Sonu Sood will play the notorious villain again.
Kajal Aggarwal a well known South Indian actress is making her Bollywood debut along side Ajay Devgn in upcoming movie ‘Singham’.
The movie is said to be an out and out Ajay Devgn film and Kajal Agarwal has very little screen time. But the actress has no qualms about that.
“It is not the amount of screen space that I have but it is the quality of work that I deliver in that time. Yes it is an Ajay Devgn film but I will stand out with my performance too. And I am sure after watching the film people won’t stop loving me,” says the actress.
Ajay Devgn is said to be an ultimate prankster and Kajal says that she was his favorite victim.
“Since day one of my shoot I have been his favorite victim to crack all possible jokes. But as they were all in good humor so it proved like a good ice breaker and Rohit Shetty (director of the film), Ajay and I got along really well”.
The movie ‘Singham’ is a remake of Tamil movie of same name. Kajal Agarwal is portraying the character that Anushka Shetty has played in the original.
“The script may be same but the treatment is a lot different as it caters to the Hindi audience,” she says.
When asked if Ajay or Surya are better answers diplomatically saying both are her friends and actors of great caliber.
Talking about her white superstition she says, “Whenever I’ve shot my introductory scene in a white outfit, the film has become a hit. My wearing white in the opening shot of Singham has been blown out of proportion”.
Asked about the kind of roles she would like she says, “I am ready to do all kind of roles but I have my reservations about clothes and intimacy.”
Here’s a yet another first for Shah Rukh Khan. The ‘D’ tattoo worn by Shah Rukh in his upcoming movie ‘Don 2’ has been registered on his name.
“Farhan, SRK and I thought it was a good idea to make the tattoo permanently his”, said Ritesh Sidhwani, the producer of the movie.
The tattoo registration has been to gain the copyright of the tattoo. The promotion merchandise of the movie is being designed around the tattoo’s design. Ritesh Sidhwani is confident that the merchandise will be a huge hit with the audience.
"The biggest fans of the franchise are kids. Merchandise like caps, T-shirts, bags and other stuff will really be liked by them. It's been five years since the first film. In this period, the craze for the film has just grown. We've realized that protecting the copyright to the tattoo design worn by SRK will keep the franchise alive”, added the producing.
