I never though anyone would mimic DDLJ: Shah Rukh Khan

Recently the third poster of the movie ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’ was released. The poster shows Boman Irani and Farah Khan, the two main leads, recreating the famous ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ pose. And this poster was revealed by none other than Shah Rukh Khan himself.

Talking on the occasion Shah Rukh Khan admitted that he never expected anyone would dare to mimic DDLJ.

“I have seen spoofs of all movies created by others, but I never thought anyone would think of making a spoof on DDLJ,” he said to PTI.

The movie that’s a love story of two 40 year olds has become talk of the town. Shah Rukh Khan though feels that love can happen to anyone.

Saif Ali Khan's next to star Natalie Portman

After the tremendous success of his latest movie ‘Cocktail’, which also starred Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty, actor Saif Ali Khan has started planning his next home production, which will be a romantic movie.

And this time the actor is thinking of casting none other than Hollywood star and Academy Award winning actress Natalie Portman.

“A love story we are working on ... It’s a secret ... We are doing a film with Natalie Portman,” said the actor to a daily.

The actor, who is 41 years old, said that there were no age restrictions when it came to love and hoped that he would be doing romantic movies even when he is 50.

“I hope I can do romantic films at the age of 50. There is no age for romance. If the story is nice and the character suits you then why not do it. It is not like you can do only action films at a certain age. As long as you look good doing the part, there should not be any problem,” he said.

Katrina Kaif might play famous spy Noor in a biopic

Filmmaker Ketan Mehta has started working on his ambitious project ‘Noor’, which is a biopic of legendary World War II spy Noor Inayat Khan.

Apparently, the director is in talks with Katrina Kaif to play Noor but said it was still early days to reveal anything.

“It's too early to comment. I am in the initial stages of negotiation. I will make a formal announcement soon,” said the director to IANS.

Other than ‘Noor’ the director is also planning on another biopic ‘Mountain Man’, which is a story of Bihar-based labourer named Dashrath Manjhi, who spent over two decades of his life carving a road by cutting a mountain. The lack of a road had prevented him from taking his wife to hospital, and she lost her life.

I had zero confidence in myself: Diana Penty

Model turned actress Diana Penty, who made a very noticeable Bollywood debut with the movie ‘Cocktail’, said that she had zero confidence in herself but it was director Homi Adjani and producer Dinesh Vijan faith in her that finally made her accept the movie.

“What a journey it has been since day one till the release. In the beginning, as I was new to the industry, I had zero confidence. I was not sure whether I’ll be able to pull it off. But Dinesh saw the potential and made me realize that I could do it,” she said to HT in an interview.

The actress revealed that she in fact would have made her Bollywood debut last year itself opposite Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Rockstar’ but things dint fall together.

“When I decided to work in movies, I started meeting people. I met Imtiaz Ali (director of Rockstar) to discuss the role but soon after that Cocktail happened and I was signed for Meera’s role,” she said.

Black Buck Case: Salman Khan likely to face jail term of 3 years

The Rajasthan High Court on Tuesday has revived the charges filed against actor Salman Khan and colleagues - Saif Ali Khan, Tabbu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre – in 14 year old Black Buck killing case, where the actor has been accused of poaching and killing two Black Bucks.

The High Court disposed the plea of state government against a sessions court ordering them to drop some of the charges against the accused. The High Court maintained that Khan will be charged under Section 51 of Wildlife Act and Section 149 of the IPC (Unlawful assembly).

Section 51 of Wildlife Act carries jail sentence up to three years or fine or both.

The others - Saif Ali Khan, Tabbu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre - have been charged under section 52 (Attempts to contravene, or abet the contravention of, any of the provisions of this Act) of Wildlife Act and section 149 of IPC against others.

If the reports are to be believed then Prabhu Deva is very keen on launching his new found friend in a movie.

Apparently Virat Kohli wasn’t really comfortable in performing few dance steps but after being coaxed by Prabhu Deva he performed some intricate steps for an ad for a shoe brand.

It was during this that the idea to launch the cricketer as a movie star entered Prabhu Deva’s mind. And rumor has it that even Virat Kohli is not averse to the idea.

I will speak about my wedding in couple of months: Saif Ali Khan

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in an recent interview refused to talk about his impending marriage to actress Kareena Kapoor and said that he would only discuss his wedding after a couple of months.

“I can't confirm the date right now. Probably a couple of months down the line, I would speak to you about it. Right now it's only ‘Cocktail’, and I want to keep my professional and personal life separate,” said Saif Ali Khan to a daily.

The actor’s recent release ‘Cocktail’, also starring Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty, has been Saif Ali Khan’s biggest opening ever. The actor is in fact shocked with the response the movie has garnered.

“I thought there would be morality issues about me going from one girl to another. But the multiplex audience is ready for a lot of new things. The figures are very respectable. ‘Cocktail’ did not cater to the masses or the numbers would have been much higher,” he said.

The collection of the movie at the box-office has turned out to be higher then Saif previous ambitious venture ‘Agent Vinod’.

Director Pooja Bhatt said that she is proud to present sensuality as it is and not use toilet humor or double meaning dialogues in the movie.

“An average film is made from a male perspective and designed for a male audience, but I am going to show pure, unadulterated sensuality, designed by adults and for adults,” she said to IANS in an interview.

“Toilet humor is not my style and what I wish to do. I leave the double-meaning and toilet humor to other filmmakers to do,” she added.

I need to do some originals now: Ruteish Deshmukh

Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh is turning out of to be King of Sequels of sorts, as two of his movies ‘Dhamaal’ and ‘Housefull’ have already had successful sequels ‘Double Dhamaal’ and ‘Housefull 2’. His next release ‘Kya Super Kool Hai Hum’ too is a sequel to his hit comedy ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’.

The actor is also currently working on the sequel of his hit 2004 movie ‘Masti’ ‘Grand Masti’.

“I need some originals now!” said Riteish Deshmukh in an interview with a tabloid.

“Even I didn’t realize that I was on my fourth sequel in two years. I’m not upset that I have four sequels on my CV; that just proves that the first movie had worked well with the audience,” he added.

The actor said that he plans on doing originals hence forth and will make it a point to do so.

“I plan to work with a few fresh scripts now. While it’s great for an actor to do sequels, it’s also important to work in good originals,” said the actor.

'Go Goa Gone', zombie horror movie, scare the crackers out of everyone: Saif Ali Khan

After the success of his recent production venture ‘Cocktail’, actor Saif Ali Khan is all set to start working on his next venture ‘Go Goa Gone’.

The actor is very excited about the movie as it will be India’s first horror zombie movie.

According to Saif Ali Khan, the movie directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, will be so scary that nothing less than an ‘A’ certificate can be expected for it from the Censor Board.

“We’ll take it to international horror festivals. There are no limits in terms of language and visuals that will fry your mind. We’re prepared for an A certificate, even a double A,” he said to a daily.

The actor said that the make-up of the movie will scare people.
