Being on top is dangerous: Salman Khan

Added by harini on Aug 10, 2012

After going through a rough patch actor Salman Khan has been back on top for a few years now. The actor has delivered blockbuster hits in past few years with ‘Wanted’, ‘Ready’, ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Bodyguard’. But the actor said that being on top was a dangerous position.

“I am happy that my films are doing well. But it is a very dangerous position to be in, as we don’t know what to do in the next film. I don’t know what to do right now,” he said to PTI in an interview.

The actor further said that he was confused on what character to play next.

“If there is a larger than life character in films that I do, then it looks like no one can kill him which will get boring. If you take a film to a larger level then it is like too much is happening, if you don’t take it to that level then it feels like first was better. You don’t know what to do,” said Salman Khan.

Though ‘Shanghai’ was a hit with critics it failed to make a mark at the box-office. But Emraan Hashmi isn’t phased by this and said that he dint want to be caught up in box-office race.

“I can't get into the trapping of box office. I don't want that pressure on me. Also, number game does not interest me. I want to experiment with different kind of cinema. May be a couple of them don't take a huge opening but then it would give me creative satisfaction at least,” he said.

The moment he used to react I was like tongue tied. I had no idea what I was doing. But he is really sweet,” said Esha Gupta to PTI.

“He would tell me to calm down... I have done worse than you in my first few films. I thought he is joking. But it was during the promotions of 'Jannat' when Mahesh Bhatt told me... in his initial films Emraan used to give 30-40 takes; I was like I am not that bad then. He is quite like my mentor he has given me a lot of tips,” she added.

I am not in movies just to add glamour: Katrina Kaif

Added by harini on Aug 07, 2012

One of the major criticisms coming Bollywood’s way is that most Bollywood movies revolve around their heroes and the heroines just add the glamour quotient in them.
