The nominees for one of the most prestigious Indian awards, The Filmfare Awards, have been finally announced.
While the popular movies like ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela’, ‘Raanjhanaa’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ have found themselves in the Best Movie category, critically acclaimed movies ‘Lootera’ and ‘The Lunch Box’ failed to make the cut. Even India’s Oscar entry ‘The Good Road’ is missing from the list.
Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, leads the list of most nominated movie by earning nominations in nine categories including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress. Deepika Padukone’s other movies ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela’ and ‘Chennai Express’ have earned seven and six nominations respectively. ‘Aashiqui 2’, ‘Raanjhanaa’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ have six each.
